Last night at the beautiful Birmingham Town Hall, we were over the moon to be crowned winners for South East England at the NatWest Local Hero Mortgage Awards.  Comedian Rob Beckett hosted the event, with the awards recognising firms in the mortgage industry who have gone beyond everyday expectations to put the customer and their local community at the heart of their firm. The charity for the evening was Birmingham Children’s Hospital with over £12,000 raised.

Mortgage Medics’ Managing Director, Sam Murphy, said: “We’re really honoured to receive this award.  We know how hard firms up and down the country worked during the pandemic to provide extra support to our clients, staff and local communities.  Thank you to all our staff whose incredible commitment helped us win tonight.

The last couple of years have made most of us think about what’s important to us, including our work-life balance, and it gave us a fantastic opportunity to re-evaluate how we do business and how we support each other.  These awards are a celebration of those firms who have taken the initiative to do things better.

Representing MM on the night were (L-R) Michael Curd, Steve Prole, Ben Murphy & Sam Mason

We’re proud to have introduced enhanced benefits for all our staff, supporting those who keep the business going day-in day-out, as well as continuing our commitment to Sussex Nightstop, our community charity partner, helping those at risk of homelessness.  We’ve now raised more than £10,000 for Nightstop and are truly grateful for all the amazing work they do in the local community.”

This is the third award Mortgage Medics have picked up in the last 12 months, following on from the L&G Mortgage Club Awards and County Business Club Awards in 2021.
