Qualifications

  • CeMAP Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice

    The industry benchmark qualification for mortgage advisers, recognised as a mark of excellence and professionalism. Individuals attain the required understanding of mortgage policy and practice and how to effectively apply this when advising a customer.

  • CeRER Certificate in Regulated Equity Release

    This qualification develops an extensive understanding of the environment, products available and the circumstances where equity release is an appropriate solution for the customer.

  • R07 Advanced Mortgage Advice

    Advanced Mortgage Advice (R07) develops knowledge and understanding of the key elements of the mortgage process, specialist types of mortgage lending and to test candidates' ability to give appropriate mortgage advice to clients with complex needs and circumstances.

I’m experienced in dealing with both residential and buy-to-let mortgages.

My areas of expertise include second charges, equity release, and bridging. I also help clients with their protection needs, such as life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection.

The proudest moment of my career to date has been passing my mortgage qualifications.

The three things I love most about my job are getting to know individuals on a one-to-one basis, resolving a difficult case, and my team.

William outside of work

I enjoy going out with friends and family for dinners and drinks.

I grew up in Gloucestershire and moved to Sussex in 2013.

I love to travel, with Cape Town, Mykonos, and Austria (for skiing) my best holiday destinations.

I love the gym and try to go four to five times a week.

Other interesting facts about me are that I’m a twin, and consider my cat Coco my child!

Cape Town, South Africa.

If I could be any fictional character, I would be:

Batman.

When the dessert menu arrives, I’m looking for:

Dessert wine or a cocktail.

The qualities that draw me to new people are:

People who are ambitious, love to travel, and always look at the bright side of life.

My pet peeve is:

Someone who eats with their mouth open.

The best gift I’ve ever received is:

A pack of long socks from my colleagues because I always wear pocket socks.

The three people at my dream dinner party would be:

Joan Rivers, Bianca Del Rio, and Princess Diana.

The small things that make my day better are:

Exercise, coffee, and the sun shining.

Three things I haven’t done so far include:

A bungee jump, shark diving, and an escape room.
